Prints became the main motive that brought together the interior décor: they are repeated while being re-interpreted, their patterns change, which makes it more interesting to look at them and study the detail. In the dining room, for instance, the pattern on the metallic outer elements of the chandelier echoes with the print in the upholstering of armchairs. Furniture and lighting have been selected from among American brands that match the general style, paying respect to the client’s special liking of Barbara Berry’s collections. Pieces of furniture used in the interior design are replicas similar in shape and outlines to American furniture of the fifties. Armchairs, for instance, have been designed in the mid-twentieth-century style. The window portal with half columns was used to hide the wiring; besides, framing the window to give it prominence is one of designers’ favorite tricks.
