The interior design was dictated by architecture. Transom bars, balcony railings, double sloped ceilings were a given and weren’t a subject to change. At the same time, project authors did not intend to fill the rooms with “country cabin” items of décor. “This isn’t a chateaux or a chalet,” they emphasize. “You won’t see any bearskins or deer heads in here, we tried to avoid clichés as much as we could. We were striving to create a country-house interior following modern trends, a warm and cozy space filled with natural materials. We used a lot of wood in the interior design – on the walls, in the floor and to some extent in the ceilings, which creates a special atmosphere and fills the space with a wonderful smell.”
